When the Stars Make You Drool Just Like a Pasta Fazool

That's National Ravioli Day!

That's right folks...tomorrow, March 20th is National Ravioli Day.
And why shouldn't it be...Ravioli are delicious, they deserve their own day!

Ravioli are a traditional type of Italian cuisine. They are a filled pasta, and are composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin egg pasta dough. When most of us want Ravioli we either go to an Italian Restaurant or hit the frozen food section of the grocery store to pick up a bag we can quickly drop into boiling water when we get home. But...Homemade Ravioli are quite easy to make and can really wow your friends and family when you have them all done.

Making ravioli might sound daunting, but with some practice we know you can do it. The best part about making ravioli at home is that it’s the perfect way to get the family involved in a dinnertime tradition. Also, when you make your own Ravioli, you get to fill them with whatever you like...cheese, meat, lobster, spinach or even pumpkin. You're the chef and master of your kitchen...so any filling goes. Get creative with it.

Now, there are plenty of recipes on the internet for Homemade Ravioli, but WikiHow actually includes step by step photographs from making the filling through to making the Ravioli dough.

Ravioli ingredients are readily available and pretty inexpensive. So get to it! Celebrate National Ravioli Day like you never celebrated it before (mainly because you have probably never heard of National Ravioli Day before) and make homemade Ravioli for the entire family tomorrow!
